My Lament, Silence Is Not My Brother

This is my lament. I am in a deep turmoil. I fear to be judged by God, yet I am condemned by the judgment of men. How my inner being is wrenching, being pulled back and forth. Like Jeremiah, I feel fooled by God, yet I am in awe of Him.

Easter and the Gospel of Jesus Christ

If we have repented and follow Christ, we can rejoice and celebrate Christ has risen! But those who have not repented and do not obey Christ, should not think lightly of this Easter Sunday. This passage tells us, Christ coming out of the grave is a warning, judgment is coming.

Christ’s Gospel vs The Modern American Gospel

The modern American gospel says, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.” If you are not saved, this is a lie, because the Bible tells us God is indignant with you everyday (Psa 7:11) and the wrath of God REMAINS on you (John 3:36). Note this: if the wrath of God remains on you and God is indignant with you, God does not love you and you are without hope, so there is no wonderful plan for your life.

True Salvation vs the modern American gospel

This is a call to come out of the modern American gospel. The modern American gospel preaches a message of easy grace, which is a false gospel. God has called all men to repent and Jesus commands us to take up our cross and follow Him.

What I Said At My Mom’s Memorial

When we are at a funeral or memorial, it causes us to think of our finite life; it causes us to think of Heaven and Hell. Is it real? Why? Why did Mom have to die? Why did she have to go through dementia before she died? The Bible says the wages of sin is […]

What To Say At My Memorial Service

At my funeral or memorial, don’t glorify me; I was not among the wonderful and I was not among the awesome or amazing. Remind people what a wretch I was and it was only God’s grace which brought out any good in me and gave me any hope of glory.  Wretched man that I am! […]
