See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. [Col 2:8; Pro 24:5-6; Mat 11:12; Heb 5:13-14 NIV] The summary of this is Php 2:12: "Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling" [and the context is --] through your reliance upon Christ - who will accomplish His will through you, holding firmly to the Scriptures.

LUK 8:16-18 [NIV] :: No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken from him.
