Fear of Man Is Vote Against God

Last night, at the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee, I witnessed a bunch of professing Christians stand down on the vote to acknowledge Idaho to be a Christian State. Not that all the stand downs were professing Christians but I thought it quite ironic for Christians to vote to keep God out of politics. With the help of the professing Christian conservatives, the RINOs were successful in mounting a two-thirds majority to block the resolution to acknowledge the State of Idaho to be Christian.

Beware my professing Christian friend: the Bible speaks much about those who seek to please man or fear man more than they fear God (Psa 118:18; Pro 29:25; Ecc 12:13; et al). They do not follow Christ and they will not be with Christ in eternity (Mat 7:21). Knowing that Christ is the Son of God and wearing the label Christian is not believing nor is it following Christ (Jam 2:19). God forbid that Christians should stand up for God.

The more we rid ourselves of God’s laws, the more we fall under the tyranny of mans’ laws. There is no middle ground. The only hope for our nation is an unashamed return to God and His principles. Right now, our State and our nation need to be reminded of our founding principles and our need to rely upon God and return to His laws.

The Second Amendment, property rights and tipping our hats to pro-life are not going to be what it takes to turn our nation around. Protecting God-given rights and fighting for Libertine doctrines for the sake of man to be left alone are only going to lead to anarchy and more filth in our land. We protect these rights in the name of God for the sake of preserving the liberty to honor God because this was the foundation of our nation; this is the reason we have been blessed these many years; and this is the only way we will preserve our freedoms. Any other reason is only futile.

Go ahead, my conservative friends, continue your fight for liberty without God. You will get no where. In fact, you will grow into RINOs as you seek to be pragmatic and have an acceptable image to the public. Meanwhile, our nation will continue this bleeding and this slide into paganism mixed with every other ism, becoming more and more void of God. Don’t be surprised when the filth becomes so thick there are no tools left to dig our nation out.

It is very apparent the informal conservative caucus was wrested from Melanie VanDer Feer because some conservatives were offended by her stand for God in all things. At first, I thought there were other reasons but I see I was mostly wrong. Now, we are seeing the fruit of conservatives who are ashamed of and/or offended by God and that is to be tools for the RINOs. I refuse to associate with this group as I will not participate in tactics to keep God out of politics. Furthermore, I refuse to associate with Christians who are ashamed to stand up for God. Take my name off the rolls, please.

Cominus is the pen-name for Dean Isaacson. He was chairman of the Snohomish County Republican Central Committee (Washington) 1990 to 1992. He conducted legal research for the late Supreme Court Justice William C. Goodloe for several years and led Judicial Forum for many years. Now, he is a crazy kinda guy who spends most his time doing cold calls. He plays his harmonica in the truck because people don't want to listen to him practice - but his dog, Miles (black dachshund), loves to sing along. He is passionate about being passionate because everyone is really into passionate these days but tires easily and hides behind emails. His core belief is you will choose to serve God or you will serve the state - tyrants, as William Penn called it.

I will perpetuate your memory through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever.
[Psa 45:17 NIV 1984]

O Lord, I have heard of your fame and stand in awe of your works. Revive them in our time; even now, make Yourself known - but in Your wrath remember mercy.
